A BUSY EARLY WEEK OF SEMESTER 3 IN IPBA

JOURNAL 1
WEEK 2 (25 JUNE 2013)
A BUSY EARLY WEEK OF SEMESTER 3 IN IPBA
Last week was a terrible week for me. There were many things that had happened to me which burdened my day. As we all have concerned, Malaysia has been attacked by thick haze which was blown from the burning of forest in Sumatra. It looked very thick near our hostel. As we woke up in the morning, we could merely felt that we were surrounded by the dews. This haze has greatly affected my health. It caused me to have rashes on my neck, some parts of my hands, and my body. By having those rashes, it stole away my comfortableness as it was very painful and itchy. Additionally, the haze also caused me to cough all day long. I do not even have a good sleep throughout those few hazy days due to the cough.
Besides that, we were also having two events on that week in our college which were the Teacher's day and the retirement event for our ex-director. My batch was involved in both of these events. We drew the banner for the teacher's day celebration. It was really tiring as we were needed to draw and paint the big banner in only 2 days time. Besides, we were asked by the seniors to join the choral speaking and we only have 3 days time to practice as well as to memorise the script. We have sacrificed a lot of time to accomplish all these stuff.
Apart from that, we were also having a forum and presentation during that particular week. As we were responsible on the two big events, we were almost having not enough time to prepare for our forum and presentation. However, I tried to be awake until late night preparing my forum and presentation and I done it on time. Nevertheless, I felt very tired because I have not enough time to rest.
Last Thursday was my forum presentation and our group presentation. I was a bit nervous at first because I was not well-prepared. However, after presenting both forum and group presentation, I felt relief.
On last Frideay, it was a busy day for us.We attended the teacher's day and it was fun. Nonetheless, I was not very well because I was suffering from food poisoning. I almost could not perform on the choral speaking at first. After I took some rest and medicine, I became energetic again. However, the pain still come and goes throughout the retirement event. At the end of the event, I was satisfied as the programme move smoothly and our choral speaking entertained most of the lecturers.
Even though it was such a busy and hectic week, I have learnt lots of things from it. I learnt that we must appreciate every second that we have as time is very precious. Besides, hardworking spirit can always bear good fruits. At first, it seemed impossible for us to perform a choral speaking performance where we only have 3 days to practice. However, from our hardworking spirit, we have succesfully perform the choral speaking very well.
